MERA Was Born to Solve a Problem
We started in 1973 as 12 independent medical equipment service firms who recognized the need for a higher and more uniform level of service to hospitals and manufacturers. Our mission was to share knowledge and skills in order to provide improved service.
In the early 1980s, a manufacturer asked us to develop a national service contract with central communication and billing. It was the first program of its type by a third-party supplier, and its success indicated there was a market for similar programs for other manufacturers.
